Link Density of Inbound Links
We don't just look at links, we examine the area around a link.
If a link is alone in a paragraph of text (editorial), it will have a LOW Link Density, and appear towards the left of the chart.
A link that appears with a long list of other links (a directory, or navigation) will have a HIGH Link Density. It will appear towards the right of the chart.
This shows the distribution of Link Density for each of this page's top 8 external inbound links with context.
Limited to the top external inbound link for each referring domain. Chart values are logarithmic.

Duplicate Backlink Analysis
We look for similar links to the same URL on different parts of each Referring Domain. Links that are similar are marked as 'Duplicate'. Links that are unique, or the single best example of a group of duplicate links, are marked as 'Distinct'.
There are two categories of duplicates. Duplicate links that pass Trust Flow or Citation Flow are considered Notable. Links without Flow Metric scores are considered Non-Notable, and of low value.
Non-notable links are targeted for removal in future builds.
.edu and .gov Links
Some SEO practitioners like to check for links from .gov or .edu domains

This chart shows the number of Referring Domains discovered every day.
